History

ICS was founded 40 years ago and was developed as a privately owned company with a total commitment to quality.  With this in mind, ICS grew steadily but kept its focus on a limited number of customers to forge genuine service partnerships.

This quality focus ensured that ICS was one of the very first cleaning organisations to achieve ISO 9001:2000 status across all of its operating locations.

In 2000, ICS was acquired by Penauille Poly Services, a leading international cleaning and facilities services company. ICS is within the Corporate Services Division which has 200 sites across Europe, employing 35,000 people and had a turnover in excess of € 661m in 2004.

During 2005 ICS has opened new units at London Heathrow, Doncaster Sheffield and Belfast International.

In September 2005 ICS became a major supplier of train cleaning to several London Underground Companies as a result of Metronet SSL awarding a three year contract.

ICS is the cleaning and support services division of Penauille Poly Services within the UK and has an established cleaning division in Eire through its sister company Knights. As well as our renowned cleaning and catering for airlines, our portfolio now includes a whole range of services to business including all aspects of commercial property cleaning, train and depot cleaning, management of lost and found facilities.

We have a UK turnover of more than £29m, employing around 1500 people and operating out of 28 offices throughout all areas of the country.
